Ferries to Dipolog City

The ferry port of Dipolog City lies on the north coast of Mindanao in the Philippines, in Barangay Galas. From here you can reach Manila, Dumaguete City and Zamboanga City. Together the services add up to as many as 4 departures a day. Crossings take between 3.5 and 35.5 hours. The port is served by 2GO Travel.

Getting there and the terminal

The berth is officially called the Port of Dipolog and used to carry the name Galas Feeder Port. Both names are in local use, so do not be thrown if your ticket says one and the sign on the spot says the other. It is around three kilometres from the city centre, about eleven minutes by car when traffic is light. The port has a terminal building, parking areas and the pier and quay where the ro-ro ships also load vehicles. So if you arrive in your own car, you will find spaces directly at the terminal.

Check-in

2GO Travel requires you to be at the check-in desk at least four hours before departure. The boarding gates close one hour before departure, whether or not you have already checked in. Have your printed ticket and official photo ID ready, such as a passport or driving licence: without these papers the operator may refuse you boarding. There is a separate desk for excess baggage, which costs extra time before the long sailings to Manila.
