Passenger Terminal Building, J.P. Martinez Street, Barangay Lo-oc

The ferry port of Dumaguete City lies on the east coast of Negros in the Philippines, in the province of Negros Oriental. From here you can reach Manila, Dipolog City and Zamboanga City. Together the services add up to as many as 4 departures a day. Crossings take between 3.5 and 28 hours. The port is served by 2GO Travel.

Getting there and the terminal

The port is on J.P. Martinez Street in Barangay Lo-oc, so within the city itself and not in a remote industrial harbour outside it. There is a separate Passenger Terminal Building for foot passengers. The facility is run by the state-owned Philippine Ports Authority through its Port Management Office for Negros Oriental and Siquijor; after modernisation, the port was officially brought back into service in March 2021. Dumaguete is more than one operator's berth: alongside 2GO Travel, other lines serve destinations such as Cebu, Siquijor and Dapitan from here.

Check-in

2GO Travel requires you to be at the check-in desk at least four hours before departure. The boarding gates close one hour before departure. Bring the printed ticket and official photo ID, such as a passport or driving licence: without these papers the operator may refuse you boarding. Excess baggage is checked in at a separate desk, which takes extra time before the long overnight sailings to Manila.
