The ferry port of Ermioni is on the south-east coast of the Argolis on the Peloponnese in Greece. From here you can reach 5 destinations, among them Hydra, Piraeus and Poros. Together the services add up to as many as 18 departures a day. Crossings take between 15 minutes and 2.25 hours. The port is served by Hellenic Seaways.

Getting there and the terminal

Coming from Athens, you have a choice between water and road. By sea you leave from Piraeus, where the ships for Ermioni depart from Gate E8; the journey takes from 2 hours 25 minutes. Alternatively you drive across the Peloponnese and save yourself the long sea leg, because Ermioni is on the mainland and not on an island. That is the real appeal of this port: Hydra and Spetses are a quarter of an hour away, while the same islands cost several times that in sailing time from Piraeus. If you are travelling around the Argolis anyway, boarding at Ermioni puts you much closer to your destination.

Check-in

For its Saronic Gulf routes Hellenic Seaways states one hour in its conditions of carriage. Foot passengers should be in the boarding area 60 minutes before departure, vehicles in the loading area at the same time. Allow for that deadline especially in high season, when day trippers and islanders crowd the quay.
