Evdilos is one of the two ferry ports on Ikaria in the northern Aegean; the other is Agios Kirikos. From here you can reach 14 destinations, and they lie far apart: Karlovassi on Samos takes a good hour, Mykonos two, Piraeus seven, while the run to Kastelorizo in the far south-east takes 15 hours. Together the connections add up to as many as 28 departures a day. The port is served by Hellenic Seaways. The busiest is the western line via Mykonos and Syros to Piraeus, several times a week; the Dodecanese ports, by contrast, are called at only occasionally. If you are heading for Ikaria, check before booking whether your ship calls at Evdilos or Agios Kirikos, because the two ports sit at opposite ends of the island.

Check-in

Hellenic Seaways' conditions of carriage require you to be at the boarding area at least one hour before departure, with a vehicle as well as on foot. Drivers must drive their vehicle on and off the ship themselves; passengers get out before loading. The order in which vehicles board is set by the port authority of each port, not by the operator. Have your ticket and ID ready when boarding, and hand your boarding card to the purser.
