Fishbourne ferry port lies on the north coast of the Isle of Wight, between Wootton and Ryde, and is the car ferry berth for the east and centre of the island. From here you can reach Portsmouth: a ferry leaves up to 48 times a day, and the crossing takes around 45 minutes. The port is served by Wightlink.
Getting there and the terminal
The address is Fishbourne Car Ferry Port, Fishbourne Lane, Fishbourne, Isle of Wight, PO33 4EU. The berth takes vehicles and foot passengers, and the customer building has a Creek Café, a service point for tickets, toilets and baby-changing facilities. Cash is no longer accepted at the ports.
The nearest bus stop is Kite Hill, around 15 minutes' walk away and served by Southern Vectis route 9 between Newport and Ryde. If you are travelling without a car, Wightlink says you are better off going via Portsmouth Harbour to Ryde Pier Head, because that berth has much better rail and bus connections. The terminal has a car park with 20 spaces, plus free motorcycle parking; you pay by card at the machine or through a parking app. Up to 20 minutes are free for dropping off and picking up, and you have to stay in your vehicle.
Check-in
Wightlink closes check-in 30 minutes before departure for vehicles and 15 minutes before for foot passengers.
