Florø ferry port lies on the coast of Vestland in Norway. From here you can reach 10 destinations, among them Askvoll, Bergen and Krakhella. Together the services run up to 34 departures a day. Crossings take between 30 minutes and 3.5 hours. The port is served by Norled.
Getting there and the terminal
The boats leave from the Fugleskjærskaia, the main quay of Florø, postcode 6900. From there the combined passenger and cargo boat runs out into the skerries several times a day, to Barekstad, Batalden, Fanøy, Rognaldsvåg on Reksta and to the island of Kinn. The Hurtigruten ties up at the same quay: it was built from 1914 onwards for the larger steamers, and the shipbroker's house K. Jansen has handled clearance there since 1917.
The quay is less than a kilometre from the village centre, so you are in town within a few minutes on foot. The longest run from Florø goes to Bergen and takes three and a half hours, the shortest to Smørhamn half an hour. Norled gives no fixed check-in deadline for these boats, but be at the quay in good time: the local boats stop only briefly.
