Forio ferry port is on the west coast of Ischia, on the side of the island facing away from Naples. From here you can reach 5 destinations: Naples and Procida in the bay, plus Capri and Amalfi and Positano on the Amalfi Coast. Together the services add up to as many as 24 departures a day, and crossings take between 45 minutes and 3 hours. The port is served by Alilauro, Capitan Morgan and Laser Capri Linee Blu.
Check-in
Alilauro, the operator behind the main service to Naples, requires you to be at the port at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure. That time goes on the security check, the ticket check and boarding. Bring your ticket, electronic or printed, and a valid identity document. Tickets bought through third-party portals have to be printed at the port counter before boarding; tickets booked directly with the operator need no paper. One piece of hand luggage is included in the fare, and larger items are paid for at the counter or at the ship itself.
