Frederikshavn ferry port lies on the east coast of North Jutland and is one of Denmark's gateways to Sweden. From here you can reach Gothenburg. A ferry leaves up to 8 times a day and the crossing takes around 3.5 hours. The port is served by Stena Line.
Getting there and the terminal
The terminal is at Færgehavnsvej 10. By car you come up the E45 from Aalborg and then follow the signs for the ferry towards Norway and Sweden. From Frederikshavn station it is about a 20-minute walk. There is short-stay and long-stay parking at the terminal; foot passengers leave their car at Sydhavnsvej 4 or Læsøgade 4, around 500 metres from the terminal.
Check-in
Stena Line opens check-in 90 minutes before departure for travellers with a vehicle and 45 minutes before departure for foot passengers. In both cases it closes 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. If your sailing falls outside the terminal's opening hours, you can only board with a vehicle.
