Gili Gede

Resort

Gili Gede ferry port lies on the island of the same name off the south-west coast of Lombok in Indonesia. It belongs to the Gili islands, but should not be confused with the better-known Gilis off Lombok's north-western tip: from here the boats take 75 and 90 minutes respectively to reach Gili Air and Gili Trawangan. From Gili Gede you can reach 5 destinations, among them Nusa Penida, Serangan and Bangsal. Together the services run up to 7 departures a day. Crossings take between one hour and 2 hours. The port is served by Gili Getaway.

The longest runs go to Bali: the boats take 2 hours to Serangan on Bali and one hour to Nusa Penida. The trip to Bangsal on Lombok's north-west coast takes the same time.

There is no publicly documented information about the landing stage itself. Exactly where you board on Gili Gede, when you have to be there and how to reach the jetty if you travel via Lombok are things you will only learn reliably from the operator, ideally when you book.
