Harbour Bay ferry port lies on Batam in Indonesia, directly across from Singapore. From here you can reach the HarbourFront Centre in Singapore and Pasir Gudang in Malaysia. Together the services run up to 32 departures a day. Crossings take between 45 minutes and 1.75 hours. The port is served by Dolphin Fast Ferry and Horizon Fast Ferry.

Getting there and the terminal

The terminal opened in 2006 and stands in the north of Batam, in the Jodoh and Batu Ampar area, as part of a larger complex: the BayFront Mall, a Marriott hotel, apartment blocks and the Harbour Bay Seafood restaurant row adjoin it directly. Nagoya, the actual centre of Batam, is about ten minutes away by car. Taxis as well as Grab and Gojek serve the terminal, and there is a waiting area, shops and restaurants inside the building.

Check-in

Allow for border control, because the port is an international crossing point with immigration and customs. Horizon Fast Ferry opens the baggage desks next to the immigration gate 90 minutes before departure and closes them 30 minutes before. The free baggage allowance is 20 kilograms per boarding pass, in no more than two pieces. The operator advises being at the terminal at least an hour before departure.
