Ferries to HarbourFront Centre

HarbourFront Centre is Singapore's ferry terminal for the Indonesian island of Batam and the Riau archipelago. From here you can reach 7 destinations: Batam Centre in one hour, Sekupang and Harbour Bay in 45 minutes, plus Gold Coast Bengkong, Waterfront, Nirup Island and Tanjung Balai at up to 1.5 hours. Together the connections add up to as many as 146 departures a day. The port is served by Batam Fast Ferry, Horizon Fast Ferry, Majestic Fast Ferry and Sindo Ferry.

Getting there and the terminal

One thing to note when planning: the old HarbourFront Passenger Terminal closed on 14 July 2026. Ferry services have run since then from the new Singapore Cruise Centre building at 5 HarbourFront Avenue, Singapore 099549. By MRT you take the North East Line or the Circle Line to HarbourFront, about 15 minutes from the city centre and 40 to 50 minutes from Changi airport. Bus routes 10, 30, 57, 61, 65, 80, 97, 100, 131, 143, 145, 166 and 855 stop at the terminal, among others. By taxi it is 10 to 15 minutes from the city. If you come by car, follow the signs to the Singapore Cruise Centre car parks.

Check-in

Every sailing crosses a national border, so you need a passport. Baggage handling opens 60 minutes before departure and closes 20 minutes before; security screening opens 45 minutes before and closes 15 minutes before departure. Majestic Fast Ferry sets its check-in desk cut-off at 30 minutes before departure. Treat those 30 minutes as a lower limit and allow for immigration control on top.
