Harwich ferry port lies on the English North Sea coast in the Ramsey and Parkeston district and is England's link to the Dutch mainland. From here you can reach Hoek van Holland. A ferry leaves up to 4 times a day and the crossing takes around 8.5 hours. The port is served by Stena Line.

Getting there and the terminal

The terminal is called Harwich International Port and is at Parkeston Quay, Harwich, Essex CO12 4SR. By car you take the A12 towards Colchester and from there the A120, which is signposted for Harwich and leads straight to the port; from the north the A14 brings you in. Greater Anglia trains stop at Harwich International station right next to the terminal building. Parking is at the terminal, by the half hour as well as by the day.

Check-in

Stena Line closes check-in 45 minutes before departure, for vehicles and foot passengers alike. For the 9:00 sailing it opens at 7:45 and closes at 8:15; for the 23:00 sailing it opens at 20:30 and closes at 22:15. From mid-May to September, vehicle check-in opens as early as 19:30 in the evening.
