The ferry port of Hoek van Holland is in the far west of the Netherlands, where the Nieuwe Waterweg flows into the North Sea, and administratively belongs to Rotterdam. From here you can reach Harwich. Up to 4 times a day a ferry departs, and the crossing takes around 8.5 hours. The port is served by Stena Line.

Getting there and the terminal

The terminal is at Stationsweg 10, port number 915. It's around 30 kilometres to Rotterdam, 20 to The Hague and 85 to Amsterdam. The metro stops right in front of the terminal building and runs to Schiedam Centrum and Rotterdam; from Schiedam you can be in Amsterdam by train in under an hour and a half, and in The Hague in half an hour. Buses connect the town with The Hague and Delft. The terminal has short-stay parking and a long-stay car park.

Check-in

Stena Line closes check-in 45 minutes before departure. For the 14:15 departure it runs from 12:30 to 13:30, for the 22:00 departure from 18:45 to 21:15, and on Sundays for the 13:45 departure from 12:15 to 13:00. Foot passengers check in at the desks in the passenger terminal.
