- Iloilo Domestic Port (Fort San Pedro), Fort San Pedro Drive
Iloilo ferry port is on Panay in the Philippines and is the maritime hub of the Western Visayas. From here you can reach 7 destinations, among them Bacolod City, Cagayan De Oro and Cebu City. Together the services add up to as many as 11 departures a day. Crossings take between 4 and 38 hours. The port is served by 2GO Travel and Trans Asia Shipping Lines.
Getting there and the terminal
Iloilo does not have one port but several, and that is the key thing to know before you travel. The large inter-island ships to Manila, Cebu and Mindanao berth at Iloilo Domestic Port, which everyone names after the old fort: Fort San Pedro, at the end of Fort San Pedro Drive in the city centre. 2GO Travel, Trans Asia and Cokaliong handle passengers here.
The short trips run elsewhere: the fast boats to Bacolod and the vehicle ferries to Guimaras use the berths on the Iloilo river on the Lapuz side, and the small boats to Guimaras use Parola Wharf at the river mouth. Further out, 24 kilometres from the city in the town of Dumangas, there is another ferry port with services of its own to Bacolod. So check which quay your ticket names before you get into a taxi.
