The ferry port of Jersey lies on the Channel Island of Jersey, with the berth in the harbour of Saint Helier. From here you can reach 7 destinations, among them Guernsey, Saint-Malo and Carteret. Together the routes add up to as many as 22 departures a day. Crossings take between 1.25 and 9 hours. The port is served by Brittany Ferries, DFDS, Islands Unlimited and Manche Iles Express.

Getting there and the terminal

Check-in is at the Elizabeth Terminal, Saint Helier, JE2 3NW, the island's only passenger terminal. The car park at the terminal has 90 spaces and is open around the clock; payment is taken daily between 8am and 8pm through the Pay by Phone app, and the maximum stay is five days. Three disabled bays sit directly by the entrance, and covered bike racks stand free of charge in front of the building. Liberation Station bus station at Liberty Wharf is about a ten-minute walk away. There is a taxi rank in front of the terminal, staffed for departures; the port authority advises booking ahead, because the number of cars is limited.

Check-in

On the routes to Portsmouth, Poole and Saint-Malo, DFDS closes check-in 60 minutes before scheduled departure for vehicles and bicycles, and 40 minutes before departure for foot passengers. It recommends arriving two hours ahead with a vehicle and 90 minutes ahead on foot. The desk closes on time.
