- Pelabuhan Kalianget, Distrikt Kalianget, Regierungsbezirk Sumenep
Kalianget ferry port lies at the eastern end of the Indonesian island of Madura, in the district of the same name in Sumenep Regency. From here you can reach Kangean Island. A ferry leaves up to 2 times a day. The crossing takes around 3 hours. The port is served by Express Bahari.
Getting there and the terminal
Kalianget is the only port linking Madura with the islands off its coast, and thus the gateway east: besides Kangean, Poteran, Sapudi, Raas, Sapeken and Masalembu are served from here, as is Jangkar on the north coast of Java. The berth is not in Sumenep itself but in the coastal town of Kalianget east of the regency capital, so anyone arriving in Sumenep by bus or plane still has a stretch of road ahead. The port is in three parts. Passenger operations in the southern section and cargo handling in the northern section are run by Pelindo, while the middle section belongs to the state salt producer PT Garam, which ships the salt from Madura's salt pans from here.
