The ferry port of Karlskrona is not in the old town but on the island of Verkö, around 10 kilometres from the city centre. From here Stena Line sails to Gdynia up to 6 times a day; the crossing takes around 10 hours.
Getting there and the terminal
The address is Verkövägen 101 in Lyckeby. Coming from Malmö, the E22 leads straight to the terminal. The port is not within walking distance of the centre: from Karlskrona C station, bus line 6 runs to the last stop at the terminal and takes about 30 minutes. If you arrive by train, change at Karlskrona C to this bus or to a taxi. At the terminal the first hour of parking is free; for longer stays you pay through the EasyPark or Parkster apps.
Check-in
For the Gdynia route, check-in closes 60 minutes before the scheduled departure. That is stricter than the 30 minutes Stena Line applies at most Swedish ports. Groups of 20 people or more have to be checked in 90 minutes beforehand.
