The ferry port of Korovou Eco Tour Resort lies in the Yasawa archipelago in western Fiji. From here you reach Denarau: the timetable lists up to 2 departures a day and the crossing takes around 3.25 hours. The port is served by South Sea Cruises.
Getting there and the terminal
The counterpart on the main island is Port Denarau near Nadi. The Yasawa Flyer, the scheduled catamaran run by South Sea Cruises, leaves there every morning at 8:45 am and then works its way north from resort to resort. Free shuttle buses run to the terminal from most hotels in Nadi and on Denarau.
Most landing points in the archipelago have no pier. Where there is none, the catamaran stops offshore, a smaller tender boat picks you up and sets you down directly on the beach. South Sea Cruises points out explicitly that wet feet come with the territory and advises shoes you can slip off quickly. If you have limited mobility, discuss the transfer with the operator beforehand.
Check-in
South Sea Cruises recommends checking in 30 minutes before departure at the desk in the Port Denarau passenger terminal. It is staffed daily from 7:30 am to 8 pm. You may bring one piece of hand luggage up to 7 kilograms and one piece of hold luggage up to 25 kilograms; bulky items such as a surfboard are charged separately at check-in.
