- Dobrota, Gemeinde Kotor
Kotor ferry port lies at the inner end of the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro. From here you can reach Dubrovnik: the timetable lists up to 2 departures a day, running on around two to three days a week. The crossing takes around 3 hours. The port is served by Kompas.
Getting there and the terminal
The berth is officially called the Port of Kotor and is run by the port company of the same name; the address is Park Slobode 1. The berths line up right in front of the walled old town, so from the quay you are in the historic centre in a few minutes on foot. There is no separate ferry terminal on the edge of town: the same facility takes cruise ships, and Marina Kotor with its moorings for pleasure craft belongs to it too. The port administration is staffed on weekdays from 7am to 3pm and takes mooring enquiries through its own registration form; passengers on the scheduled service do not need this.
Because Dubrovnik is in Croatia, the crossing is an international one. Keep your identity papers within reach in your hand luggage rather than in your suitcase.
