Kyllini ferry port lies on the west coast of the Peloponnese, in the municipal unit of Kastro-Kyllini in the regional unit of Elis, region of Western Greece. From here you can reach Zakynthos and Poros on Kefalonia. Together the services run up to 20 departures a day. Crossings take between 1.25 and 1.5 hours. The port is served by Levante Ferries.
Getting there and the terminal
Kyllini is a port village with little in the way of hinterland connections, and if you arrive without a car you should plan for that. Public transport means the intercity buses of KTEL Ilias: there is one line from Pyrgos to the port and one from Amaliada, both via Lechena. Frequency is thin, with only a few services on weekdays, and at weekends the offer shrinks further. If you have to catch a particular sailing, check the bus connection before you book the ferry, not after.
Check-in
In its conditions of carriage, Levante Ferries requires foot passengers to be at the ship half an hour before the scheduled departure. With a vehicle you have to be there earlier: cars belong in the waiting area one hour before departure. Miss your ship and you do not get the fare back. Passengers who need help boarding or disembarking must give notice at least 48 hours in advance and should arrive at the agreed meeting point no earlier than 60 minutes before departure.
