Kythira ferry port serves the island between the southern tip of the Peloponnese and Crete. Kythira is one of the Ionian Islands but belongs administratively to the Attica region. The port is an intermediate call on the route that links Piraeus with western Crete along the east coast of the Peloponnese.

From here you can reach four destinations: Antikythera in 1.5 hours, Gythio on the Peloponnese in 2.25 hours, Kissamos in western Crete in 3.5 hours and Piraeus in 6.25 hours. Together the services run up to 8 departures a day. The port is served by SeaJets.

The frequency is modest: Kissamos is called at on a good three days a week, Antikythera on just under three, Gythio on a good two and Piraeus on around two. If you want to travel on from Kythira to Crete or to the mainland, plan with the timetable rather than with luck, and book the return leg at the same time. Antikythera, the small neighbour halfway to Crete, hangs on this route alone and is an hour and a half away from Kythira.
