- D'Coconut Lagoon Resort Jetty
Lang Tengah Island ferry port is in Malaysia. From here you can reach Pulau Redang and Merang Jetty. Together the services add up to as many as 9 departures a day. The crossings take between 30 and 45 minutes. The port is served by Vigourmarine.
Getting there and the terminal
Lang Tengah has no central ferry port. The boats call at the jetties of the individual resorts, and this berth belongs to the D'Coconut Lagoon Resort. For you that means the jetty follows your accommodation, not the other way round. State where you are staying when you book, otherwise the boat will drop you at the wrong jetty.
On the mainland the trip starts at Merang Jetty. Merang lies in the Setiu district, around 25 kilometres north of Kuala Terengganu; it is about 30 kilometres to Sultan Mahmud Airport. The jetty itself has ticket counters, toilets and a few food stalls. Allow 30 minutes to an hour for the crossing to Lang Tengah depending on the boat and the sea state; the timetable gives it as 45 minutes.
Check-in
You collect your boarding pass at the Merang Jetty counter. Vigourmarine recommends being there an hour and a half before departure and reserves the right to pass your seat on if you have not checked in at least 40 minutes before departure.
