- Summer Bay Resort Jetty
Lang Tengah Island ferry port is in Malaysia. From here you can reach Pulau Redang, Merang Jetty and Redang Island. Together the services add up to as many as 9 departures a day. The crossings take between 30 and 45 minutes. The port is served by Vigourmarine.
Getting there and the terminal
Lang Tengah has no shared berth for all visitors to the island. Every resort has its own jetty, and this one belongs to the Summer Bay Resort. The berth therefore follows your accommodation: say where you are staying when you book so that the boat drops you at the right jetty.
All services run via Merang Jetty on the mainland. Merang belongs to the Setiu district and lies around 25 kilometres north of Kuala Terengganu; from Sultan Mahmud Airport it is about 30 kilometres. The jetty has ticket counters, toilets and food stalls. Allow 30 minutes to an hour for the crossing to Lang Tengah depending on the boat and the sea state; the timetable lists it as 45 minutes.
Check-in
Boarding passes are issued at the Merang Jetty counter. Vigourmarine asks travellers to check in an hour and a half before departure and reserves the right to pass the seat on if check-in has not been completed at least 40 minutes before departure.
