The ferry port of Linosa lies around a kilometre from the village on the smaller of the two inhabited Pelagie Islands, which belongs to the Sicilian province of Agrigento. From here you can reach Lampedusa and Porto Empedocle. Together the services add up to as many as 12 departures a day. Crossings take between one hour and 6.5 hours. The port is served by Liberty Lines and Siremar.

Getting there and the terminal

Linosa has not one berth but two, and which one applies depends on your service: according to the operator, ships to and from Porto Empedocle use the Pozzolana berth, while the service to and from Lampedusa uses the Porto Vecchio. Wait at the wrong berth and you will not see your ship. If in doubt, ask the agency that also sells the tickets: it is at Via Re Umberto 70 in the village and opens daily in the morning and in the afternoon. The island is small enough for you to reach both berths on foot, but the walk to the wrong one costs time you do not have before departure.

Check-in

Liberty Lines requires you to be at the berth at least 15 minutes before departure on domestic routes, otherwise your place is no longer guaranteed. If you need help getting on and off, register it 48 hours beforehand and be there 30 minutes before. Note as well that the service between Lampedusa and Linosa does not run every day.
