kein Steg - Tenderanlandung; Gegenstelle Passagierterminal Port Denarau

The ferry port of Long Beach Resort lies in the Yasawa archipelago in western Fiji. From here you reach Denarau: the timetable lists up to 2 departures a day and the crossing takes around 3.75 hours. The port is served by South Sea Cruises.

Getting there and the terminal

The stop is served by the Yasawa Flyer, the scheduled catamaran run by South Sea Cruises. It leaves Port Denarau near Nadi every morning at 8:45 am and then calls at the resorts of the Mamanuca and Yasawa islands in turn. Because this berth lies far north along the chain, the journey time is correspondingly long. Free shuttle buses run to the terminal at Port Denarau from most hotels in Nadi and on Denarau.

Most landing points in the archipelago have no pier. Where there is none, the catamaran stops offshore and a smaller tender boat brings you ashore, straight onto the beach. Wear shoes you can slip off quickly: wet feet come with it. If you need help with the transfer, it is better to say so in advance.

Check-in

South Sea Cruises recommends checking in 30 minutes before departure at the desk in the Port Denarau passenger terminal, staffed daily from 7:30 am to 8 pm. The luggage allowance is one piece of hand luggage up to 7 kilograms and one piece of hold luggage up to 25 kilograms; bulky items such as a surfboard cost extra at check-in.
