Getting there and the terminal
Måløy is not on the mainland. It sits on the south-eastern side of the island of Vågsøy, at the outer end of the Nordfjord, and belongs to the municipality of Kinn. By car you arrive over the Måløybrua, the bridge across the Ulvesund carrying national road 15. The town is one of Norway's most important fishing ports and a transport hub as well: alongside the fast boats, the Hurtigruten calls here too.
Check-in
The fast boat to Måløy is route 23531 Bergen - Nordfjord - Bergen. It starts in the morning at the Strandkaiterminalen in Bergen, calls at Sollibotn, Krakhella, Askvoll, Florø and Smørhamn on the way and reaches Måløy in the early afternoon; the line ends at Selje just under half an hour later. There is no check-in desk, and passengers are handled on the quay. Norled recommends booking your ticket in advance and says so in the timetable. Be there in good time: the boats do not stay long.
