- Pier 4, North Port Passenger Terminal, Manila North Harbor, Tondo
Manila ferry port is on Luzon in the Philippines and is the hub of the country's domestic ferry traffic. From here you can reach 15 destinations, among them Bacolod City, Cagayan De Oro and Cebu City. Together the services run up to 30 departures a day. Crossings take between 13 and 48 hours. The port is served by 2GO Travel.
Getting there and the terminal
Manila has several harbour basins, and only one of them counts for the ferries: 2GO Travel sails from Pier 4 in Manila North Harbor, in the Tondo district north-west of Intramuros. That is where the North Port Passenger Terminal stands, the departure hall for the routes to the Visayas, Mindanao and Palawan. It has a driveway and a parking area of its own, so you can be dropped off right in front of the building by car or taxi. Because Manila has several ports with similar names, it is best to give your driver Pier 4 and North Harbor.
Check-in
2GO Travel requires you to be at the check-in desk at least four hours before departure. That is considerably more lead time than European ferries ask for, and it applies to foot passengers without freight as well. The boarding gates close an hour before departure; anyone who arrives later does not travel.
