The Marine Park landing stage lies on Pulau Perhentian Besar in Malaysia. From here you can reach Kuala Besut Jetty. Boats leave up to 30 times a day. The crossing takes around 30 minutes. The port is served by Perhentian Boat Services and Perhentian Sunny Travel.
Getting there and the terminal
The name refers to the marine park of the Perhentians, which covers Pulau Perhentian Besar, Pulau Perhentian Kecil, Pulau Susu Dara and the uninhabited islands within their two-nautical-mile zone. The only way to reach the landing stage is via the jetty at Kuala Besut on the mainland in the state of Terengganu: every boat to the Perhentians starts there, running during the day roughly between 7am and 5pm. There is no road link to the island.
Check-in
Before you board at Kuala Besut, you buy the marine park ticket at the counter in the terminal. It is valid for three days and has to be shown on request, so keep it. The boat operators do not give fixed check-in times.
