- Masbate City Base Port
The ferry port of Masbate is in the Philippines. From here you can reach Cebu City. Ferries leave up to 2 times a day. The crossing takes around 13 hours. The port is served by Trans Asia Shipping Lines.
Getting there and the terminal
What is meant is the base port of Masbate City, the provincial capital on the island of the same name. The island of Ticao lies offshore and shields the harbour basin from the open sea, which is why the port works reliably even in bad weather. The base port has roll-on roll-off ramps, passenger terminals and cargo areas; the handling building stands inside the port grounds.
Masbate province has many more landing places, on the islands of Burias and Ticao as well as along the north, west and south coasts of the main island, among them Aroroy, Mandaon, Milagros and Cawayan. None of them is the right one for the ferry to Cebu: it leaves from the base port in Masbate City. On the other side, Trans Asia handles passengers at the port authority's Terminal 3 in Cebu, not at one of the other piers.
