The ferry port of Matamanoa is in Fiji. From here you reach Denarau. A ferry leaves up to 2 times a day. The crossing takes around 1.25 hours. The port is served by South Sea Cruises.
Getting there and the terminal
Matamanoa is a small island in the Mamanuca group west of Viti Levu; the berth belongs to the resort, and there is no settlement there. Every sailing starts from the Port Denarau Marina near Nadi. South Sea Cruises uses a fast catamaran, with the standard departure leaving at midday and reaching Matamanoa at 1:15 pm; there is also an earlier morning service. If you want to travel faster, take the scheduled speedboat service, which covers the route in 75 minutes and leaves the marina at 8:15 am and at 2:45 pm. Helicopter flights are available on request.
South Sea Cruises points out that most resorts in the Mamanuca and Yasawa islands have no pier. The ship then stops off the island, a tender takes you the last few metres ashore, and wet feet come with it.
Check-in
Check-in is at the South Sea Cruises desk in the Port Denarau terminal, no later than 30 minutes before the ship departs.
