Milazzo ferry port is on Sicily's north-east coast, on a peninsula in the Tyrrhenian Sea, and is the way out to the Aeolian Islands. The berths are in the Parco district. From here you can reach 12 destinations, among them Lipari, Vulcano and Salina. Together the services add up to as many as 203 departures a day. Crossings take between 45 minutes and 16.5 hours. The port is served by Liberty Lines and Siremar. Vulcano is 45 minutes away, Lipari one hour, Stromboli two and a half.

Getting there and the terminal

The port is split between two operators and two streets. The Liberty Lines hydrofoils leave from the terminal on Via Luigi Rizzo. Siremar, run by Caronte & Tourist Isole Minori, uses the berths Molo Eolie Nord, Molo Eolie Sud and Banchina Dente XX Luglio; its ticket desk is at Via dei Mille 26, with a second at Via Tindaro La Rosa 90. If you are taking a car, you cross on the Siremar ferries.

Check-in

Siremar asks drivers to be at the boarding point one hour and foot passengers 30 minutes before the scheduled departure. Under its conditions of carriage, missing that deadline costs you the booking and any right to a refund.
