The ferry port of Mjømna is in Norway. From here you can reach 16 destinations, among them Bergen, Askvoll and Florø. Together the services add up to as many as 25 departures a day. Crossings take between 15 minutes and 3.5 hours. The port is served by Norled.

Getting there and the terminal

Mjømna is a flat, boggy island of a good ten square kilometres in the municipality of Gulen, on the south side of the Sognesjøen, that is at the outer end of the Sognefjord. The island hangs on to the surrounding tangle of islands by the Mjåsundbrua, Mjømnesundbrua and Nappsundbrua bridges; outer Gulen has only been linked to the mainland since 2010, when the bridge over the Brandangersund was finished. So Mjømna can be reached by car, but it is a long drive on country roads.

Check-in

The quay is touched by two express boat lines, but not by every departure. On route 23531 Bergen - Nordfjord, Mjømna is missing from the timetable on most days; according to a footnote, the Saturday call is operated by the Sognerute. So do not rely on the line but on the specific departure, and check it in the timetable. There is no counter, and you wait at the quay. Norled recommends booking in advance.
