- Mokpo Port International Passenger Terminal (Haean-ro 148beon-gil 14) bzw. Passagierterminal Samhak-Pier - je nach Schiff
The ferry port of Mokpo lies at the south-western tip of South Korea and is one of the starting points for ferries to Jeju. From here you reach Jeju. A ferry leaves up to 2 times a day. The crossing takes around 4.5 hours. The port is served by Seaworld Express Ferry.
Getting there and the terminal
Mokpo has several passenger terminals, and which one applies to you depends on the ship. Seaworld Express Ferry handles the Queen Jenuvia II at the International Passenger Terminal of Mokpo port, at Haean-ro 148beon-gil 14. The Queen Mary, by contrast, leaves from the passenger terminal at Samhak Pier. So check which ship is on your ticket before you set out, or you will end up at the wrong building.
From Mokpo station the city bus takes about 15 minutes to the passenger terminal.
Check-in
You will not get on board without ID: Seaworld Express does not issue a ticket if you cannot show photo identification, and it is checked again at boarding. As a foreign visitor you use your passport. Ticket sales and boarding close 10 minutes before departure, and that is a hard limit, not a guideline.
