The ferry port of Naantali lies on the Baltic in the region of Southwest Finland, in the Mannerpuoli district. From here you can reach Kapellskär in Sweden and Långnäs on Åland. Together the routes add up to as many as 8 departures a day. The crossings take between 5 and 8.5 hours. The port is served by Finnlines. Naantali is Finland's most important hub for freight traffic to Scandinavia, so plenty of lorries will be on deck with you.
Getting there and the terminal
The terminal address is Satamatie 13, 21100 Naantali. Coming from Masku and Lietsala, turn left onto Patenttikatu, which becomes Viestitie in front of the port; after the level crossing go left, then right, and follow the harbour signs from there. The port works around the clock, and the harbour office can be reached at any time.
Check-in
Finnlines opens check-in two hours before departure and closes it one hour before departure. That deadline is tighter than it sounds: the ships to Kapellskär and Långnäs load freight, and anyone rolling up after closing will not be processed.
