The ferry port of Nador lies on the Mediterranean coast of Morocco. From here you can reach 4 destinations, among them Almeria, Motril and Barcelona. Together the routes add up to as many as 12.5 departures a day. Crossings take between 6 and 43.5 hours. The port is served by Africa Morocco Link, Balearia, Grandi Navi Veloci and Naviera Armas.

Getting there and the terminal

The port carries the name Nador but does not lie in the town. Berths and passenger terminal stand in Beni Ensar, around 13 kilometres from the town centre; the address is Route de Port, Beni Ensar. By car the N15 national road leads there, and car parks lie right by the berths and are also suitable for longer stays. Several bus routes run to the port from the centre of Nador and from the surrounding area, and taxis drop off directly at the terminal entrance. The terminal in Beni Ensar was newly built by the ANP port authority and fitted with two telescopic passenger bridges in 2023.

Check-in

Grandi Navi Veloci opens check-in nine hours before departure and closes it four hours before departure. On the route to Almeria it closes two hours before departure. Those are unusually long lead times for a Mediterranean port, because passport and customs control take place inside the terminal.
