Naxos ferry port is at the Chora on the west side of the largest Cycladic island. From here you can reach 28 destinations, among them Paros, Thira and Mykonos. Together the services add up to as many as 155 departures a day. Crossings take between 30 minutes and 9.75 hours. The port is served by 6 operators, among them Blue Star Ferries, Cyclades Fast Ferries and Golden Star Ferries.

The short hops make the port a workable base for an island round trip: Paros in 30 minutes, Ios in 45, Mykonos in 75, Thira in an hour and a half. For the mainland, reckon on a good four hours to Piraeus and a good five to Rafina. Syros is 90 minutes away, Tinos 105. The Lesser Cyclades are linked to Naxos as well, Koufonissi in 45 minutes and Katapola on Amorgos in 75. Rethymnon on Crete takes just under seven hours.
