Nordeide ferry port is in Norway. From here you can reach 12 destinations, among them Balestrand, Bergen and Lavik. Together the services run up to 37 departures a day. Crossings take between 30 minutes and 3 hours. The port is served by Norled.

Getting there and the terminal

Nordeide lies in the Kyrkjebø district of Høyanger municipality, and therefore on the Sognefjord, not on the Dalsfjord. Fylkesveg 55, the fjord road on the northern shore, leads to the quay. The berth is one of the oldest ferry quays still in use in the region: the present structure dates from 1968 and replaced a building from 1940 that housed the post office, telephone, shop, café and inn. Besides the express boats, the Vik - Ortnevik - Måren - Nordeide - Høyanger car ferry calls here, letting you cross the fjord instead of driving all the way round it.

Check-in

There is no terminal building with desks, and passengers are handled at the quay. The express boat is Norled route 23501 Bergen - Sogn - Flåm; leaving Strandkaiterminalen in Bergen in the morning, it reaches Nordeide around midday. In the timetable Norled recommends booking the ticket in advance. Be there a few minutes early, as the stop is short.
