Nusa Lembongan ferry port lies in Indonesia. From here you can reach five destinations: Sanur on Bali in around 30 minutes, plus Padang Bai, and Bangsal on Lombok and the Gili islands of Gili Air and Gili Trawangan. Together the connections add up to as many as 62 departures a day. Crossings take between 15 minutes and 2.5 hours. Six operators call at the port, among them Arthamas Express, D'stars Fast Ferry and Dcamel Fast Ferry.
Getting there and the terminal
The speedboats land on Jungutbatu beach, not at a terminal building. Exactly where you come ashore depends on the operator, and the offices stand on the beach accordingly: Setia Fast Ferry, for example, sits on Jungutbatu Beach, 50 metres before the steps up to the Batu Karang. On the island you travel on by scooter, bicycle or buggy.
On the other side, the port of Sanur lies on Jalan Pantai Matahari Terbit in Sanur Kaja, in the east of Denpasar. The port operator reckons on about 45 minutes from Kuta and Seminyak and one and a half hours from Ubud; from Denpasar airport it is 16 kilometres. The port is open daily from 6am to 6pm.
Check-in
Setia Fast Ferry expects you at its own office on Lembongan 30 minutes before departure, and on the Bali side in Sanur even 45 minutes before. The port of Sanur also names 30 minutes before departure as its house rule. The port of Sanur expressly points out that the weather can shift the timetable.
