Nusa Penida ferry port is in Indonesia, south-east of Bali. From here you can reach Sanur. A ferry leaves up to 13 times a day. The crossing takes around 45 minutes. The port is served by Semaya One Fast Cruise, The Angkal Fast Cruise and Wahana Virendra.

Getting there and the terminal

Nusa Penida has more than one berth, and which one your boat uses is the operator's decision. The state ferry port is Pelabuhan Sampalan, which the Indonesian transport ministry has been building since August 2020 together with the port of Bias Munjul on Nusa Ceningan. Alongside it, the fast boats use the Banjar Nyuh berth; The Angkal Fast Cruise, for instance, calls at both. Check which one is on your ticket before you book, because your transfer to your accommodation depends on it.

On the other side, the port of Sanur is at Pantai Matahari Terbit in the Sanur Kaja area of Denpasar Selatan. Before it was built, passengers there had to wade into the water to get aboard. The floating jetty and the terminal building have put an end to that; together with the two ports on Nusa Penida and Nusa Ceningan, the facility forms one connected network.
