Ferries to Nusa Penida

Nusa Penida ferry port is in Indonesia. From here you can reach 8 destinations, among them Bangsal, Gili Air and Gili Trawangan. Together the services add up to as many as 28 departures a day. Crossings take between one hour and 2.75 hours. The port is served by Gili Getaway, Semaya One Fast Cruise and Wijaya Perkasa.

Getting there and the terminal

Buyuk Harbour is in the north-east of Nusa Penida and is only one of several berths on the island. Which one is printed on your ticket decides where you step ashore, and that can make half an island transfer of difference. The harbour is built for speedboats and small boats and operates daily from 6am to 5pm; on Nyepi, the Balinese new year, traffic stops altogether. At the jetty you will find a car park, an information point, toilets, food stalls and hire companies for scooters and cars, so you can leave straight from the boat under your own power. Coming over from Bali, the speedboat takes about 30 to 45 minutes from Sanur, Padang Bai or Kusamba, depending on the swell.
