- Tenderboot-Anleger an der Oarsman Bay (Nacula), Gegenhafen Port Denarau
The ferry port of Oarsman Bay Lodge lies in Fiji, on Oarsman Bay on the island of Nacula in the Yasawa chain. From here you reach Denarau. A ferry leaves up to 2 times a day. The crossing takes around 4.5 hours. The port is served by South Sea Cruises.
Getting there and the terminal
There is no quay here, and that is the norm at the Yasawa island berths. The South Sea Cruises catamaran, the Yasawa Flyer, stays offshore from the bay; a tender shuttles between the ship and the lodge. That applies in both directions, on arrival as on departure, and it also means the luggage is transferred.
The counterpart on the mainland is Port Denarau near Nadi. The Yasawa Flyer leaves there at 8:45 am. Shuttle buses to the port run from Nadi airport and from selected hotels in Nadi, Wailoaloa and on Denarau; they have to be booked in advance.
Check-in
Check-in is at the South Sea Cruises desk in the Port Denarau terminal, no later than 30 minutes before departure. At Oarsman Bay itself there is no desk and no handling: there the lodge arranges the tender out to the waiting catamaran.
