- Coron Port, Busuanga
The ferry port of Palawan is on Busuanga in the Philippines. From here you can reach El Nido, Manila and Puerto Princesa. Together the services add up to as many as 6 departures a day. Crossings take between 3.5 and 13 hours. The port is served by 2GO Travel and Jomalia Shipping.
Getting there and the terminal
The name is misleading, and that is the most important information on this page: the berth is not on the main island of Palawan but at Coron on Busuanga in the north of the province. The municipality of Coron takes in the eastern part of Busuanga, plus the offshore island of Coron and around fifty smaller islets.
If you are heading for Puerto Princesa, the capital of Palawan, you therefore need a separate crossing. It is in the timetable and takes around 13 hours. The other way round: a ferry to "Palawan" does not bring you anywhere near Puerto Princesa but to the north of the archipelago, from where El Nido is three and a half hours away.
Check-in
2GO Travel requires you to be at the check-in desk at least four hours before departure; the boarding gate closes one hour before departure. You have to show your printed ticket and photo ID, plus the terminal fee if it has not already been paid. No comparable rule has been published for Jomalia Shipping.
