Patmos ferry port is on Patmos in Greece, in the village of Skala, the only commercial harbour on the Dodecanese island. From here you can reach 26 destinations, among them Kalymnos, Kos and Leros. Together the services add up to as many as 62 departures a day, with six of the routes running in season only. Crossings take between 15 minutes and 22.25 hours: Lipsi and Arki are a quarter of an hour away, Rhodes just under five hours, and the far northern Aegean destinations almost a day. That makes the port a stop on the axis between Samos and Rhodes and, at the same time, the interchange for the small neighbouring islands. The port is served by 5 operators, among them Blue Star Ferries, Dodekanisos Seaways and Hellenic Seaways.
Check-in
Dodekanisos Seaways, the operator of the fast inter-island services, asks you to be at the ship 60 minutes before the scheduled departure, on foot as well as with a vehicle. Blue Star Ferries and Hellenic Seaways state the same hour for their Greek routes and point out that drivers must take their car on board themselves. Because many ships stop only briefly at Skala, it is better to be early than tight.
