The ferry port of Paxi is at Gaios on Paxos in Greece, the smallest inhabited Ionian island south of Corfu. From here you can reach Corfu, Lefkimmi and Igoumenitsa on the mainland. Together the services add up to as many as 32 departures a day. Crossings take between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours. The port is served by Joy Cruises, Kamelia Lines, Kerkyra Lines and Kerkyra Seaways.
Getting there and the terminal
All ferries from Corfu and Igoumenitsa use the new port, not the old harbour in the middle of the village. It lies on the north side of the bay, around a kilometre from the centre of Gaios, about a quarter of an hour on foot. At the new port you will find a café and free parking; restaurants, cash machines, shops and car hire offices are at the old harbour instead. There is no shuttle, and the nearest bus stop is the one in the village.
Since July 2026 there has been a passenger terminal of 320 square metres at the new port, built by the Corfu port authority. The older building has housed the port office and the operators' ticket counters since then.
Check-in
Be at the berth at least one hour before departure. The walk from the village takes a quarter of an hour, longer with luggage, and in summer the counters get busy.
