The ferry port of Pembroke is not in the town itself but at Pembroke Dock in Pembrokeshire, on the south-western tip of Wales. From here Irish Ferries sails to Rosslare in Ireland, up to 4 times a day; the crossing takes around 4 hours.

Getting there and the terminal

The postcode SA72 6UF is all your sat nav needs. Irish Ferries describes the location as well connected to the M4, with the last few kilometres on the A477. You can park free of charge in front of the terminal building for up to two weeks; spaces are tight, though, and badly parked vehicles get a wheel clamp. There is a railway station at Pembroke Dock, but according to the operator services are very sparse - without your own vehicle it is better to plan the journey with time to spare.

Check-in

For its routes between Britain and Ireland, Irish Ferries requires you to be through check-in 30 minutes before departure, for vehicles of every kind as well as on foot. Coaches have to be there an hour ahead.
