The ferry port of Penzance lies in Cornwall in the far south-west of England. From here you can reach St Mary's in the Isles of Scilly. Ferries leave up to 2 times a day. The crossing takes around 2.75 hours. The port is served by Isles Of Scilly Travel.

Getting there and the terminal

The Scillonian leaves from the South Pier on Wharf Road, postcode TR18 4AH. There is no parking on the South Pier itself. Penzance station is on the same road, around 800 metres away, roughly a ten-minute walk.

If you are driving and staying several days, use the operator's park and ride on the A30 towards Land's End (TR20 8TH). It has to be booked at least 48 hours in advance, opens 2 hours and 15 minutes before departure and closes an hour beforehand; it is not meant for day trips. Drop fellow travellers, luggage and animals at the quay first. For short stays the town car parks work: Harbour Long Stay (TR18 2GB) is around 800 metres from the quay, Wherrytown Long Stay (TR18 4NP) around 1.1 kilometres.

Check-in

Boarding starts 1 hour and 15 minutes before the scheduled departure and ends 30 minutes beforehand (Isles of Scilly Travel). You can check in online from 24 hours before departure.
