The Perhentian Island Resort landing stage lies on Pulau Perhentian Besar in Malaysia. From here you can reach Kuala Besut Jetty. Boats leave up to 30 times a day. The crossing takes around 45 minutes. The port is served by Perhentian Boat Services and Perhentian Sunny Travel.
Getting there and the terminal
The landing stage belongs to the Perhentian Island Resort in Teluk Pauh bay on Pulau Perhentian Besar, the larger of the two Perhentian islands. Unlike many beaches in the archipelago, there is a solid jetty here: small boats can moor directly on the beach, but you can also step ashore over the quay with dry feet. On the mainland all boats start from the jetty at Kuala Besut in the state of Terengganu, where they run during the day roughly between 7am and 5pm.
Check-in
Before you board at Kuala Besut, you buy the marine park ticket at the counter in the terminal. It is valid for three days, and you should keep it: it has to be shown as proof on request. The boat operators do not give a fixed deadline before departure, but if you have onward connections on the mainland it is better to allow some slack.
