Philipsburg ferry port lies on St Martin in Sint Maarten, in the Dutch south of the divided island. From here you can reach Gustavia on St Barthélemy, and Saba. Together the services add up to as many as 12 departures a day. The crossing takes around 45 minutes. The port is served by Great Bay Express.
Getting there and the terminal
Great Bay Express has its office and berth at Bobby's Marina, J. Yrausquin Blvd 22-H in Philipsburg. Check-in happens there too: all passengers report to the Ferry Office before boarding, and there is no separate terminal building. You need a valid passport for the crossing. Sailings to Gustavia on St Barthélemy run several times a day, whereas the service to Saba runs only on certain days of the week: check the Saba timetable before you plan a trip around it.
Check-in
Great Bay Express requires you to be at the Ferry Office at least 45 minutes before departure. Check-in closes 15 minutes before the scheduled departure, and without completed check-in you will not be allowed on board.
