The ferry port of Piano di Sorrento is the Marina di Cassano, a former fishing village below the town on the Sorrentine Peninsula. From here you can reach Capri in 30 minutes, as well as Positano and Amalfi on the Amalfi Coast, with the longest crossing taking 1.25 hours. Together the services add up to as many as 4 departures a day. The port is served by Laser Capri, which in the Bay of Naples also calls at Sorrento, Seiano, Torre del Greco and Portici.
Getting there and the terminal
The Laser Capri ticket desk is at Via Marina di Cassano 102 directly on the bay, while the address of the harbour itself is Marina di Cassano, Banchina di Riva. The centre of Piano di Sorrento lies above it, so the way down to the water is correspondingly steep. From Naples the Circumvesuviana towards Sorrento brings you close to the town; on the peninsula itself, buses run in season to Piano di Sorrento and Sorrento. If you arrive by car, bear in mind that the marina is tightly built up and space by the water stays scarce.
