The ferry port of Pomena is at the western end of the island of Mljet in Croatia. From here you can reach 5 destinations, among them Dubrovnik, Korcula and Hvar. Together the services add up to as many as 14 departures a day. Crossings take between 30 minutes and 3 hours. The port is served by Krilo Kapetan Luka and Krilo Shipping Company.
Getting there and the terminal
Pomena is one of the three official entrances to Mljet National Park, alongside Polače and Vrbovica. That is exactly the point of this berth: you step off the catamaran and stand at the edge of the park with its lakes and the boat over to the monastery island of Sveta Marija. Pomena is served by the catamaran route Split - Brač - Hvar - Korčula - Mljet - Dubrovnik, which links the island with the coast in both directions. Watch the port name when you book: the car ferry from the mainland, from Prapratno on the Pelješac peninsula, does not call at Pomena but at Sobra. If you want to reach the lakes without a car, Pomena is the right port.
